Ceramic Printing at Formnext 2024

It was a pleasure to attend Formnext and spend time with the Tethon 3D team at their booth.

We spoke with customers about their unique needs for custom ceramic prints and also how the reduction in price of printers and materials is making it affordable to 3D print bigger batches. Some examples were hot glue nozzles and dental crowns.

Tethon 3D also announced a partnership with CONCR3DE to bring ceramic additive manufacturing to a wider audience in the U.S. This collaboration combines Tethon’s expertise in high-performance ceramic powders with CONCR3DE’s advanced printing technology, creating a dream team for industries that rely on durable, precise ceramic components.

This partnership with CONCR3DE isn’t just about tech—it’s about making ceramic 3D printing more accessible, affordable and useful for industries like aerospace, medical, and energy. They’re looking to empower businesses to create complex, high-quality ceramic parts more efficiently.

Tethon 3D also showcased their cutting-edge material, Tethonite High Alumina Powder. This impressive material contains over 96% alumina and can handle extreme temperatures—up to 2000°C. It’s perfect for demanding applications like oil and gas processing, high-voltage bushings, and specialty crucibles. And of course it is available to order at Redresins
